When should I call Simplified Living @ Home?

Call Simplified Living @ Home when a family member is planning surgery, has had a medical emergency or has reached the point where they need some assistance but would like to remain independent and in their own home.

What hours do you work?

Simplified Living has office hours Monday through Friday 9am – 4pm. Our onsite Caregivers are available for as few as two hours to a maximum of 24 hours/7 days a week, depending on Caregiver availability.

How do we start?

Dial 716.404.2885 during office hours and begin the conversation. We work with each potential client to identify their needs and to provide the best-fir Caregiver(s). We use a two step process to assess the client – Simplified Living Caregiver match. The first step is a phone screening where pertinent questions are addressed. The second step is an on-site assesssment where we meet the client and family or caregiver, identify client needs and identify an initial Simplified Living Caregiver match. Because each client needs are unique, we’ll complete a Client Care Summary to define what your Simplified Living Caregivers responsibilities will be.

Are our services covered by insurance?

Our services are covered by some long-term care insurance policies. Otherwise, we are private pay.

Do you work with other services/providers?

Yes, we find that sometimes clients prefer to work with a combned team of Caregivers, including family and friends. We will work with you to put together the team that best fits your needs. We commonly work with physicians, OT, PT, Nursing, PCA/HHA and Hospice teams to bridge a clients needs.

Is a contract required?

No we do not require service contracts. Situations change, needs change. Our goal is to provide the flexibility that eases the stress, not creates more work.

Where do Caregivers visit?

Our goal is to minimize Caregiver mileage while maximizing Client-Caregiver match. To do that we focus on the northern suburbs of Erie County(Amherst, Williamsville, Town of Tonawandas, Grand Island) and southern Niagara County(Wheatfield, The Tonanwandas, Niagara Falls) .

Do you offer services such as lawn care or bill paying?

We offer referrals to a variety of qualified professionals for additonal services at the decision of the client or family. The Simplified Living Caregivers are focused on Caregiving. We do assist clients who are able to physically and cognitively manage their own bills but leave the financial mangement to the professionals or family.
